10 Easy Ways To Make A Bad Day Better


Let’s face it; we’ve all had those days where everything just seems to go wrong. Whether you were late for work, burnt your toast or missed an important deadline, there are a few easy ways you can turn your day around.


1. Stretch
It’s time to get bendy! Taking 5 minutes to stretch will help improve your circulation and flexibility, and might just help to sooth the tight muscles that come with a stressful day.


2. Hit the gym!

Sneak in a 20-minute workout and get those endorphins racing and give your body’s feel-good hormones a major boost.


3. Make a grateful list
It’s easy to focus on the things that are getting us down instead of focusing on what it is that lifts us up. It takes a little practice to put change your thinking from negative to positive, but a great way to get started is to make a list of all the things in your life that you are grateful of. Look back on this list every time you’re having a bad day.


4. Take a bath
Have some valuable alone time and relax in the bath. Get some bubbles, a nice book or a calming playlist and just unwind.


5. Pay it forward

6. Get romantic
A sneaky smooch quickly floods the bloodstream with oxytocin, which helps to create calmness and reduce stress.


7. Have a giggle
Laughter is a great way to relieve physical tension as well as triggering a natural release of endorphins, which are a great feel-good chemical.


8. Listen to your favourite tunes
When your mood is crashing down, turn on our favourite song and have a sing along, or even better…get up and dance!


9. Hang out with your furry friend
Petting your cat or dog can lead to a decline in blood pressure, as well as encourage a sense of calm. If you don’t own a pet, stop by a friend’s house or your local animal refuge.


10. Get outdoors
Head down to your local park or take a stroll along the beach. The fresh air is a great mood booster and you’ll have some time to clear your head.
