Tell us about yourself?
I’m a 21 year old, full time university studient and in the ast 7 months I have completly turned my life around. I've suprised not only myself but those around me. 

Describe your life before you started your health and fitness journey?
I was incredibly overweight at 12-.5kgs. I was unhappy and lacked confidence. I had battled depression on and off for years. The mirror in my bedroom was always covered so I never had to look at myself. I was always eating take-away and I would get exhausted just bending down to tie up my shoes. 

What was your turning point?
I was always putting off exercising by making excuses such as "I'm too busy" or "I just can't afford it this month", but I was really just scared of failing. I looked at myself and wondered how I became this sad girl who was so miserable. I didn't wantt o be feeling sorry for myself anymore when I knew I had so much more in life to offer. This made me realise that it was now or never. I knew it was time to get back that strong, resilient girl that I used to be. 

What results have you achieved since being a member at Jetts?
In the last 7 months I have lost 33kgs. But the changes don't stop there...I laugh more, I smile more, I'm much friendlier and so much more confident. I don't shy away from photos and my self-esteem is great. I have finally uncovered the dreaded mirror in my bedroom. I know I have a little further to go, but I'm starting to love my body and new lifestyle. I have much more energy and I crave a good workout! 


Why Jetts, what do you love about your club?
I chose Jetts because I liked being able to train 24/7 and it was close to home. At first I went to the gym when it was quiet because I was so self-conscious. I love Jetts because everyone is so friendly. I've been made to feel comfortable which plays a big part in having a great workout. 

How many times do you hit the gym per week? What type of training do you do?
I go to the gym every day, however if I feel my body is starting to feel tired or strained, I'll have a rest day. I do a variety of cardio and weight training. I get my program updated by my personal trainer often to ensure I keep 

Who is your motivation?
My motivation comes from all of the people I meet at the gym. I love seeing people working hard to be the best versions of themselves. 

What do you think has been the key to your success so far?
A healthy diet, regular consistent exercise and learning how to set realistic goals for myself. Reaching my goals give me that extra motivation. 

What’s your plan of attack now?
I'm aiming to lose another 17kgs, maybe tone up a little bit...and then who knows! I can do anything I set my mind to!

What keeps you know on those days when you just can't be bothered getting out of bed?
I focus on how far I've already come. I'm chasing something I really want and I know if I start making excuses I will go back to where I was. When I skip gym I feel super guilty and can't get it off my mind! Training has become part of my lifestyle and I really enjoy it. The second way I stay motivated is by hearing how I've inspired friends, family and work colleagues to improve their own health and fitness. 

What advice would you give to others that what to change their life?
Don't be afraid! I let fear hold me back for far too long and it's my biggest regret. The changes that you'll see are worth every early morning, every drop of sweat and every kilo lost. You'll thank yourself one day, when you're happier and achieving things you never thought were possible.
